The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association recently held their 36th annual OBIE Awards. The awards, named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given, are the premier awards in the new home construction industry. Awards are given to recognize outstanding achievement in new home building, marketing, remodeling and personal achievement categories.
We won two Gold OBIE Awards for our premiere development Parkside Overlook located in Grant Park. Each home is one of six modern townhomes located along Atlanta’s BeltLine in the Grant Park neighborhood.
The Berne model won the Single Family Attached Urban Redevelopment/Revitalization $400,000 to $499,900 category. This home was designed for the aging empty-nester. Although the home is two stories, there is an elevator that provides access to the second level. The home has an intercom system throughout for easy communication. The main level features a very open floor plan including a guest bedroom and full bath which could be used by the homeowner or a caregiver.
The Mercer model won the Single Family Attached Urban Redevelopment/Revitalization $300,000 to $399,900 category. With only 2,043 square feet, the home was designed with a very open floor plan. The main level features an entry foyer, formal dining area, powder room, galley style kitchen and family room with fireplace. The second floor features the owner’s suite with walk-in closet and owner’s bath with double vanities and oversized tile shower, two spacious secondary bedrooms, hall bathroom and a laundry room.
