Parktoberfest 2014 is this Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Whittier Mill Park in Atlanta’s Upper West Side. The festival is a traditional fall festival that showcases Whittier Mill Park’s green space and surrounding neighborhood and features great food, beer, and a silent auction. This year’s entertainment includes The Holy Ghost Tent Revival, The Collection and The Jugtime Ragband. There will be plenty of food from freckled & blue catering, Westside Pizzeria, Monday Night Brewing and Jeni’s Ice Cream.
Tickets are $20 for a beer band, $5 without a beer band and kids 12 and under are free.
Whittier Mill Village is located in Northwest Atlanta just inside I-285 and only nine miles from the heart of downtown. Founded in 1895, Whittier Mill Village became home of many textile workers who worked at the Whittier Cotton Mills. The neighborhood has kept most of it’s original charm and is one of only 17 historic districts in Atlanta.
We are planning six new homes near Whittier Mill Village and Park in neighboring Riverside. These craftsman style homes will feature 3-4 bedrooms, 2.5+ baths, open floor plans, gourmet kitchens, oversized master suites, two car garages, basements and much more!
