Atlanta’s newest neighborhood farmer’s market opens this weekend. The Freedom Farmers’ Market at the Carter Center was started by a small group of farmers and vendors aspiring to offer a new kind of market: one run by the vendors themselves, not by a board or community organization. The market is located at Freedom Park and neighbors can access it by walking or biking from the Freedom Park Trail or the Atlanta BeltLine. The market will be open every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. through December 20th.
Market vendors include 1000 Faces Coffee, 3 Porch Farm, Cakes and Ale Bakery, Decimal Place Farms, Doux South Organic Pickles, Hickory Hill Farm, Moore Farms and Friends, Rise-N-Shine Farm, Riverview Farm, Simply Seoul, Sparta Imperial Mushroom, Star Provisions, Storico Fresco Pasta, Watsonia Farms, Whipporwill Hollow Farm and Woodland Gardens.
