On Sunday, September 28th, Atlanta Streets Alive takes over “Highland.” Parts of the following streets will be closed to cars and open to PEOPLE: North Highland Avenue, Highland Avenue, BLVD and North Avenue. The event kicks off at 2:00 p.m. with a bicycle parade starting at Highland and Virginia.
There will be many activities to explore including fitness classes, an artist market, music, a farmer’s market, children’s activities, a beer garden and much more. Click here for a map and a full list of events.
Atlanta Streets Alive is inspired by an event in Bogota where 70 miles of streets are closed to car traffic and opened to thousands of people each Sunday celebrating community space, health, outdoor recreation and active transportation.
