The 2014 Virginia-Highland Summerfest is this Saturday and Sunday in the heart of Virginia Highland. Summerfest is the annual fundraiser for the Virginia-Highland Civic Association, Inc. which supports neighborhood improvements and provides financial support to local parks, schools, libraries and other organizations serving Virginia-Highland residents.
This year’s festival kicks off Saturday morning with a 5K Road Race and Tot Trot through the neighborhood. The festival will also feature an Artist Market featuring over 220 artists from the southeast, food from local restaurants, music and a KidsFest featuring unique games, crafts, music and activities for children of all ages.
We are finishing a mediterranean style home in Virginia Highland at 781 Highland Terrace. This home will feature five bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths including a guest suite on the main level.
The home opens to a two story foyer and features hardwood floors throughout the main level. The gourmet kitchen will feature custom wood cabinets, solid surface countertops with tile backsplash, commercial grade appliances and a walk-in pantry. The kitchen has an oversized island that overlooks the family room with fireplace which opens to a covered porch. Additional main level features include formal dining room with butler’s pantry, attached two car garage, mudroom and laundry room.
The second floor features the master suite with a luxurious master bathroom, three additional bedrooms with adjoining baths and a loft/playroom that opens to the roof terrace that overlooks the front yard.
The home has a full basement which would be perfect for a family room, a media room and an additional guest suite.
Located in the highly desirable Springdale Park Elementary school district, this home will be completed this summer in time for the 2014/2015 school year.
