Freedom Barkway was recently named “Best New Place to Let the Dogs Out” by Creative Loafing. Freedom Barkway is a two-acre dog park located at the corner of Boulevard and Freedom Parkway and features two dog parks, running areas and walking trails. The park connects to the Freedom Park Trails and the nearby Atlanta BeltLine.
The canine recreational area is now raising money to add water fountains and benches. Don’t miss the third annual O4W HOWLoween Pet Parade to be held Saturday, Oct. 24th at 12:00 pm. Line up at 11:45 am at Highland Avenue and Alaska. The parade will head down Highland Avenue and end at Freedom Barkway. Prizes will be awarded afterwards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for Best Pet Costume.
