The article, Buckhead renovation results in Prairie-style update, features the family who purchased our award winning Frank Lloyd Wright inspired renovation in Buckhead. When we purchased the home, it had a 1970’s modern style feel. Our head of design and construction, Rick Bennett, had the inspiration to convert the home to a modern prairie design with a mediterrian feel. Our renovations included redesigning the roof line, adding stucco and stone to the exterior, converting the carport to a garage, opening up the foyer, installing new windows, installing a new modern kitchen and bathrooms and adding a second floor outdoor room with fireplace.
The homeowners, Omer and Damla Calapkulu, were in the process of downsizing when they discovered the home. They were attracted to the home’s architecture and location and have added their own furnishings including many pieces from Turkey to make it their own. It was a pleasure to work with the Calapkulu’s and Epic Development wishes them many happy years in their new home!
