Last week we blogged about Art On The Beltline. Rick Bennett and I went with our wives to the Lantern Parade this past Saturday night. The weather was great as temperatures had cooled, the sky was crystal clear and the views of Atlanta’s skyline from the Old Fourth Ward all the way to Piedmont Park were excellent. In addition to a crowd I would estimate at as much as 1,000 people, there was an incredible collection of lanterns, street performers and other eclectics that make events like these a must attend annual tradition. After walking the Eastside Trail section of the Beltline, which is scheduled to officially open to the public in October, I am more convinced than ever that the Atlanta Beltline is going to significantly re-shape Atlantan’s housing choice decisions. Being close to this great new public asset will be a high priority for true urban dwellers. Epic Development is continuing to focus our efforts to deliver new housing opportunities in and around the Beltline. We are in the early planning stages for new townhome development that will be one block from the Eastside Trail. If you are looking for a new home, make sure you consider proximity to the Beltline before making a final decision.
