Art on the Atlanta Beltline returns for the 3rd year in a row with over 70 visual installations and performances along the West End Trail, the Eastside Trail and the Southeast sections of the Beltline corridor.  On Saturday, September 8th, there will be a kick-off tailgate party at the intersection of the Eastside Trail and Irwin Street starting at 7:30 p.m.  At dusk, the ever popular Lantern Parade  will begin featuring the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons and the Seed & Feed Marching Abominables.  The parade will wind along the Eastside Trail and end at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park.  Everyone is encouraged to bring a lantern and help light up the Beltline!  The Eastside Trail will be the first finished section of the Atlanta Beltline trail and a dedication ceremony is planned for October 15th.  The trail is 2.5 miles long and connects Piedmont Park, Historic Fourth Ward Park and the Freedom Park trail.  Neighborhoods along the trail include Midtown, Virginia Highland, Poncey Highland, Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park.
