We recently commenced construction on our latest new home development, Long Island Estates, located in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The first house is already under construction and framing should begin soon.
Rick Bennett and Joe Yu, who oversee construction, indicate that the recent rain has slowed progress the past few weeks at all of our residential projects around Atlanta.
Rick noted, “It is really difficult to get our footings and slabs installed with the consistently rainy weather.”
In spite of the short term delays, however, we are excited to be building in Sandy Springs. There has been limited new construction in this community during the past four years with almost all of it priced well above one million dollars. By comparison, Epic Development’s high quality 1/2 acre estate homes will be priced under $800,000, offer traditional architecture, and include five bedrooms, four full and one half baths, a full basements and three car garages.
